Songs I Love for Working Out

I’m going to start a new category for tunes!

Music is very influential on our lives .. it can pick us up from a dead spot, it can inspire deep thoughts, it can get us movin’ and groovin’, it can make us sad … …

One thing I love about teaching spinning / indoor cycling is when I have the opportunity to select music for my classes. Music is a big part of the class .. it’s a tough workout but with the right environment you can push yourselves further than you thought you could.

So, let’s get to it!

The current songs that I could be obsessively playing on Spotify:

Skrillex & The Doors – Breakn’ A Sweat – the Zedd remix — Oh I cannot get enough of this song! It’s got a great beat and I’m really digging club / house music lately!

Christina Aguilera – Dance Vault Mixes – Hurt & Ain’t No Other Man: The Radio Remixes – I love this! It’s an older Christina song remixed but it’s so good! Again it really gets you moving!

Mark Ronson – Uptown Funk – I think this is a newer song on the radio (to be honest I do not listen to the radio much thanks to Spotify). I LOVE it! Funny story: someone came up to me and said that they thought ‘funk’ was .. … something else. So, now I tell people ahead of time that it’s not!

Jump Smokers – Move It, Shake It (Bounce) – older and definitely more of a house vibe but I LOVE it! Jump Smokers are fantastic to begin with but this proves they can make magic whether you’ve heard the song before or not!
